Challenge Theme: Empowering Student Collaboration
Campus Connect is a 5-day hackathon challenge where students build a web-based platform to foster collaboration, resource sharing, and community engagement within the campus. The goal is to create a digital space where students can connect, post questions, share study materials, and organize meetups—all through a live website deployed and pushed to GitHub.
Requirements
What to Build - Project Goal
Create a web-based platform called Campus Connect that helps students:
- Create and manage profiles
- Post questions, ideas, or study tips
- Join interest groups or communities
- Share study materials and resources
- Schedule meetups or study sessions
Tech Stack (Optional but Encouraged)
- Frontend: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
- Backend: C# (ASP.NET Core)
- Database: SQL (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Required Features
- A live, deployed website
- Basic login/signup functionality
- SQL database integration for storing user and post data
- Responsive design for desktop and mobile
- Code pushed to a public GitHub repository
What to Submit
1. Project Link
- URL to the live deployed website (e.g., GitHub Pages, Netlify, Azure)
2. GitHub Repository
- Public repo with:
- All source code
- A clear README.md with setup instructions
- Screenshots or demo GIFs (optional but recommended)
3. Devpost Submission Details
- Project Title: Campus Connect
- Short Description: A student collaboration platform for sharing ideas, resources, and organizing meetups.
- Long Description:
- What problem does it solve
- How it works
- Technologies used
- Challenges faced and how they were overcome
- Team Members: List all contributors
- Demo Video: A 2–3 minute walkthrough of your project
